We are back at the Riverside for the first of our Autumn Workshops, from 2pm-4pm. We look forward to welcoming new members as well as old friends. The following week Tuesday October 13th, we will be having an informal mini exhibition of summer plein air work, so please bring some examples, can be sketch books or whatever you are most proud of. 

We’ve counted the votes for the favourite painting at our Quarr Abbey Exhibition. Of 288 votes cast by the public, 1st with 16 votes was Ben Glover with ‘Sunset’, a close 2nd with 14 votes was Jeremy Gully with ‘Redcliff II' and 3rd with 10 votes was Christina Cacciato with ‘Enchanted Wood’. 

Every artist who exhibited received one or more votes which is encouraging. 

Many congratulations to all, no prize but a pat on the back and a mention in the Newsletter out later this month.

The cut off date is looming. Are you ready? Tuesday 4th August. You can hand in hard copy at our plein air in Cowes on the same date.

Sadly sales were disappointing but the exhibition looked kovely in its posiition within the Minster. "The Ram" by Elizabeth Tucker was voted favourite picture by visitors, closely followed by "Poppies" by Gllian Nye.
