Many of you will have heard that Open Studios on the Isle of Wight this year has had problems in that Rob Hawker, the organiser for many years, has unfortunately been unable to continue due to health problems. The official event has therefore been cancelled and the Yearbook, that everyone is familiar with, will not be published.

The nature of the event is, however, to pull together the individual efforts of many of the excellent artists on the Isle of Wight and publicise the simultaneous exhibitions at the multiple venues from 15 to the 25 July .

Nevertheless, many of the contributing Artists are well advanced in their exhibition preparations and have a strong desire to continue with ”business as usual”!

Several Isle of Wight Art Club members are in this situation and are planning their exhibitions across the island to still go ahead, sometimes on their own and sometimes in a group with others.

What we have decided is to help provide you with information of what is happening with the IWAC members’ Events that will still take place as planned. Please download the PDF below.

 Studios Open 15-25 July 2022

Our visit will now take place on Tue 9 August 2022. Start same time 10am.

We are ready to receive entries for our forthcoming exhibition at Quarr. Go to 'Exhibitions' scroll down to 'Submission Forms' to print. The closing date is Thursday 28 July 2022. All the details of how to pay and submit your entries are within the forms.

Would members please remember to bring their IWAC Membership Cards next week Tue 18 June for our visit to NorthCourt, Shorwell. Only those presenting Membership Cards will be admitted for no charge. Any accompanying non member partners or friends will be charged an admission.

You are welcome to bring your painting gear to John and Jose's Garden Party on Friday 3 June 2022, John has been working very hard to bring the garden to its best. but if you just want to come to meet up with other members and have a cup of tea and chat you are most welcome to do that as well. Don't forget to bring some cake (we don't mind shop bought!). Partners can come too if they wish. There will be a selection of pre-loved art books for donation with proceeds to the "Brainy Trust". So bring cash, thanks. Hoping for sunshine.
