Put your Art into it at Mottistone Gardens Fun Palace

Everyone Welcome at National Trust Mottistone Gardens on Sunday 2nd October 2022 from 11-3pm. All we need is you to come, to inspire and work together and show and share how you feel at our first art inspired Fun Palace. IWAC artists may set up from 10.30am, please see online diary for more information.

The Council has taken the decision to cancel our private view on the above date. Please do visit the exhibition at Quarr Abbey open daily from 10.30-4.30, 11-16 August. All work is original, by exhibiting members of the Isle of Wight Art Club. Framed, unframed, cards and miniatures can all be taken on the day. Major credit cards accepted. Dogs are welcome too.

11-16 Aug Quarr Ex Poster

Many of you will have heard that Open Studios on the Isle of Wight this year has had problems in that Rob Hawker, the organiser for many years, has unfortunately been unable to continue due to health problems. The official event has therefore been cancelled and the Yearbook, that everyone is familiar with, will not be published.

The nature of the event is, however, to pull together the individual efforts of many of the excellent artists on the Isle of Wight and publicise the simultaneous exhibitions at the multiple venues from 15 to the 25 July .

Nevertheless, many of the contributing Artists are well advanced in their exhibition preparations and have a strong desire to continue with ”business as usual”!

Several Isle of Wight Art Club members are in this situation and are planning their exhibitions across the island to still go ahead, sometimes on their own and sometimes in a group with others.

What we have decided is to help provide you with information of what is happening with the IWAC members’ Events that will still take place as planned. Please download the PDF below.
