The Preview on Wednesday night was very well attended and the new stand layout considered a great success, giving a more spacious and interesting appeal to the Gallery. The quality of work exhibited by the Club is a credit to its members and shows the talent that we have in the Isle of Wight Art Club. Make sure you visit it over the next week (open 10.30-16.30 every day until Tuesday 4th September, admission free) and spread the word to your contacts. You can click on the Facebook icon at the bottom of this page to see photos of the Preview and get a taster.
Please note we will now meet outside Quay Arts, and not the previously published car park. Carol Owen will be on hand for tuition as before.
Reminder - the Last Day for Quarr Exhibition Entries is next Tuesday 21st August 2018.
The Poster and a Flyer for our next exhibition at Quarr are available click the pdf below. If you are able to print off a copy or more, and locate in a prominent position (shop, house, car, public place) near where you live, this would greatly help with our publicity. You can also spread the word by Facebook, the facebook icon is at the bottom of this page.
Anne Toase, Isle of Wight Art Club member, is holding three Friday workshops at Quarr Abbey. May 18th, June 29th, and July 27th from 10.30am-4pm. Cost is £25 per person. Please click on the poster below if you are interested. These workshops are not being run by the Art Club, and all enquiries and payment should be directed to Anne. Her details are on the poster below.
Paul Hewson's Video is now on release. Go to the Programmes tab, drop down menu to Video. We had a great turn out of enthusiastic artists last week, who under Carol Owen's excellent tuition, were being taught to squint at the landscape. Look out for IWAC signs at each location.
